How often is the course content reviewed to make sure it is up-to-date?
Dr Wraith checks for any changes to the guidance on resuscitation and management of medical emergencies on a weekly basis. Other content on the site is reviewed on at least an annual basis.
Do your courses meet GDC and CQC requirements?
Yes, all our courses meet GDC and CQC requirements
How can I pay?
We accept all major credit and debit cards.

How far in advance can I book a course?
Our online booking system shows available dates for the next 12 months, if you want to book a date further in advance please email us at contact@medicalemergencies.academy.
How far in advance should I book a course?
Dr Wraith has limited availability so it is best to book well in advance to avoid disappointment.
Clinic course – none of the listed dates are good for us, can you do another date?
Sorry about that! Yes, please email us with your preferred date and we will see what we can do.
We need a course in our clinic urgently, can you help?
Yes we can often help with situations like this, please email us explaining why you need an urgent course and what your deadline for doing the course is.
Why are the number of delegates per course restricted?
Dr Wraith provides quality teaching that is very interactive and hands-on. To provide delegates with the best learning experience possible the numbers need to be restricted so Dr Wraith can provide every delegate with the input they need.
Can you do 2 courses on the same day in the same clinic?
Yes this is possible. Our online booking system will allow you to do this.
Can I cancel or reschedule a booked course?
We understand things change so yes of course you can cancel or reschedule a booked course. You can do so free of charge up to 30 days before the course date, after this a cancellation / reschedule fee will apply. Please see our current T&Cs for these fees. If you wish to cancel or reschedule please email us on contact@medicalemergencies.academy.
Can you do bespoke courses?
Yes we can provide bespoke courses related to medical emergencies, medicine for the dental team and sedation. Please note with sedation we can only provide refresher and introduction courses not training aimed at qualifying a clinician to work independently providing sedation… please email us with what you would like ![]()

Who can become a member?
Our courses are aimed at, and suitable for, all members of the dental team – dentists, dental nurses, dental hygienists, dental therapists, dental technicians.
How is the course content delivered?
Our courses are delivered using PowerPoints, videos, downloadable PDFs and text with illustrations depending on what works best for the particular subject matter.
Are the quizzes compulsory and are they difficult?
Sorry but if you want a certificate (verifiable CPD) then the quizzes are compulsory! BUT they are not difficult, they are aimed at ensuring you know the really important stuff that will keep both you and your patients safe not the esoteric stuff. You also get 2 attempts at each quiz before you will have to repeat the module… but you can repeat the module as many times as you want! My aim is to ensure you understand the module content and quizzes are a good way to do that. Obviously if you do not need a CPD certificate for the module then you do not need to take the quiz. ![]()
Can I ask a question about the course content or related issues?
Yes, as a member you can ask me questions about the course content if there is anything you do not understand. You can also ask questions about related topics… BUT please do not ask me for advice in an emergency situation as I cannot guarantee to answer you quickly… if in doubt it is always best to call 999!

Can I suggest a topic for you to cover?
Yes please do! If you think something might be useful it is very likely other members will too
Can I cancel my membership?
Of course you can… although we would be very sorry to lose you! Please note that when you purchase a membership with us it is for a year so all you need to do is not renew it. Please note that if you do cancel before your year is up we are unable to offer part refunds.
